Job Description

AECOM is seeking to add a Graphic Creative/Design Specialist IV at AECOM's Columbus, Ohio officeto performs creative and graphic design tasks to deliver a range of outputs that effectively convey a message and capture the attention of our intended audiences.

The selected professional will incorporate a broad mix of design software and technology to create online and offline designs

Job Summary

  • May lead the creative function for a market sector, region or product type including strategy development and execution.
  • Advises more junior team members on visual layouts and supports with managing visual challenges and stakeholders.
  • Creates outstanding branded visual design layouts for marketing campaigns, working together with copywriters and marketing managers to create client centric design.
  • Deep knowledge of a specialist design area with ability to manage other specialists to deliver large campaigns and projects.
  • Leads by example and assists in setting expectations, developing workflows and assuring the quality of work delivered is exceptional and aligned with campaign, marketing and brand objectives.
  • Manages complex workflows with different stakeholders and content creators. Able to coordinate and delegate tasks effectively across the team to meet project deadlines.
  • Collaborating with Project Managers on projects requiring public involvement and community relations.
  • Creating Public Involvement Plans and helping project team strategize on best practices and risk communications associated with engaging stakeholders for input on projects.
  • Guiding and preparing documents and materials for use in communications.
  • Coordinating with other AECOM staff to prepare graphic displays and layouts for public information.
  • Exercising sound judgment when communicating with internal and/or external clients or customers.
  • Developing presentations for meetings with various stakeholders within a client’s brand guidelines.
  • Experience with or enthusiasm for learning new tools that enhance virtual collaboration and communication with stakeholders and the public for surveys, websites, social media, etc.
  • Other tasks as directed by the client directly and/or Project Manager to support public involvement during the planning and construction phases for projects underway in the community.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA/BS + 6 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Digital Design / Graphics
  • 6-10 + years graphic design experience in the corporate workspace.
  • Previous civil engineering firm marketing / graphic design experience highly preferred.
  • Possess 6 +Possess excellent project delivery skills using Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and be a Microsoft PowerPoint Advanced User
  • Must be well versed in Powerpoint and possess expertise with Microsoft Word & Office Suite usage.
  • Must possess strong graphic design skills including styles and automated file set up.
  • Map design experience a plus or GIS experience highly relevant.
  • Ability to integrates with cross-functional teams, including copywriters, marketers, and developers, to ensure creative work aligns with project goals and client needs
  • Familiarity with 508 compliance a plus
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.

  • Offered rate of compensation (Columbus, Oh) area only will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The annual salary for this opportunity is $80,000.00 - $125,000.00.
