Graphic Designer for Engineering-oriented Marketing in print (InDesign, support -Adobe Illustrator)

Job Description

I am seeking an experienced U.S.-based graphic designer, fluent in English, to design three high-quality, print-ready marketing documents for an engineering-led flood protection company serving commercial, institutional, and critical infrastructure clients.

This is not consumer marketing or residential branding. The work must feel technical, restrained, and professional, similar to engineering exhibits or institutional marketing used by infrastructure firms, not brochure-style sales material.

Scope of Work (3 Deliverables)

1. Branded Presentation Folder

• Clean, minimal, professional design
• Exterior and interior layout
• Designed for standard 8.5 x 11 inserts
• Focus on credibility, restraint, and brand clarity
• No clutter, no gimmicks

2. FloodReady One-Sheet (8.5 x 11)

• Single-page, print-ready document
• Content will be provided
• One approved image only, already selected
• Clear hierarchy, strong typography, generous white space
• Must read as engineering-led and municipality-ready
• No stock icons or decorative graphics

3. Flood Risk Reality Insert, Front Page Only (8.5 x 11, landscape or portrait)

• Front page layout only
• Copy will be provided
• Back page will contain a CAD-style conceptual sketch prepared separately by Owner. Need to be incorporated by graphic designer.
• The design must visually support an engineering diagram, not compete with it
• Clean layout suitable for pairing with technical illustrations

Required Skills and Experience

• Located in the United States
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Strong experience with Adobe InDesign (required)
• Ability to deliver print-ready files with proper bleed, margins, and color setup
• Experience working with:
• Engineering firms
• Infrastructure or construction companies
• Institutional or municipal clients
• Strong typography and layout skills
• Comfortable working with precise instructions and locked content
