Production Designer - Packaging

Our large CPG client is looking for a Packaging Production Designer to support the creation and maintenance of packaging label mechanical artwork for their private brand portfolio. This role is critical in ensuring that all packaging designs align with established brand standards, maintain production accuracy, and deliver high-quality results across multiple projects.

This role is 40 hours per week fully remote through end of 2026.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain packaging label mechanical artwork for private brand products
  • Format typesetting and graphics in accordance with established design guidelines, templates, fonts, colors, and logos
  • Ensure all designs meet brand standards and comply with printing parameters, including accuracy of spelling, graphics, and informational copy
  • Review mechanical artwork for accuracy and upload to workflow portals for stakeholder approval
  • Prepare final files and release to prepress partners
  • Collaborate with internal teams, leadership, and external partners to resolve production issues and ensure smooth execution
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, including maintenance/line extensions, new item development, and brand conversions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Commercial Art, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the graphic design industry
  • At least 2 years of experience in packaging production design for consumer goods preferred
  • Strong project management and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects at different stages
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills with cross-functional teams and external partners
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy, quality, and speed in production work
