Volunteer: Graphic Design & Digital Media Project for Community Impact

This is a volunteer opportunity provided by Taproot Foundation, a nonprofit creating social change through pro bono connections.

We are seeking a skilled volunteer to support the creation of branded digital media assets that strengthen our communication and recognition efforts. Specifically, we would like support designing certificates of completion, official letters, and simple Canva templates that our team can easily customize and reuse. These materials will be used to recognize volunteers, program participants, caregivers, and partners, as well as to support formal communications related to our programs. The volunteer will help ensure that these assets are professional, visually consistent, accessible, and aligned with our mission and brand.

These digital assets will directly support our mission to empower caregivers, families, and individuals with disabilities and diverse needs through education, resources, and compassionate community support. By strengthening how we communicate and recognize contributions, we are better able to build meaningful relationships rooted in dignity, inclusion, and respect. Clear, well-designed materials allow us to thoughtfully honor volunteers and caregivers, reinforce trust with community partners, and elevate the overall experience of those we serve. Through professional and accessible digital tools, we ensure our messages reflect the care, intention, and values behind our work. By improving how we communicate and celebrate impact, this project helps us cultivate a more connected, engaged, and supported community—ensuring that individuals and families feel valued, recognized, and seen throughout their journey with our organization.

To support the success of this project, we will: Provide clear project goals, timelines, and priorities Share existing branding elements, content samples, and usage context Provide the volunteer with access to our Canva Pro account to ensure ease of design, collaboration, and consistency Offer timely feedback and maintain consistent, respectful communication All completed assets will be actively implemented by our team across programs and communications. We are intentional about respecting the volunteer’s time and will ensure their contributions are focused, meaningful, and directly aligned with real organizational needs.
