POD Graphic Designer Needed — Simple, Giftable Designs for Apparel & Accessories (Quick Turn)

Job Description

I’m looking for a designer to create simple, versatile designs for print-on-demand products including sweatshirts, mugs, canvas totes, zipper pouches, notebooks, and stickers.

These designs are intended primarily for end-of-season gifting among paddle (platform) tennis players, partners, teammates, coaches at private country clubs, particularly in the Northeast and Midwest. The audience is social, club-oriented, and design-sensitive, so the aesthetic should remain preppy, understated, and gift-appropriate. Although humor is also valued.

Designs will be produced using Printify and Printful, so layouts should follow standard POD print-area constraints and be reliable across those platforms.

This is not a branding project and not complex illustration work. The goal is clean, reusable designs that translate well across multiple POD products with low risk of printing errors.

• Has a strong eye for color and understands how to pair tones that look polished and gift-appropriate.
• Is detail-oriented and thoughtful about contrast and readability.
• Can create designs that feel cohesive rather than random.

Designs should work especially well on printed sweatshirts (front or back placement), as well as on hard goods and accessories.

AI-assisted workflows are welcome as long as the final output is clean, original, accurate, and POD-ready.

Scope of Work

• 8 strong, versatile designs
• Each design should translate easily across:

Printed sweatshirts (no embroidery dependence)

Mugs

Canvas totes

Zipper pouches / accessories

Design types may include

Text-only layouts

Text plus a simple icon

Minimal crest or seal

Possible customization, names, or club-specific text that I can input

I prefer fewer designs done well rather than a high volume of basic or filler concepts.

Provided Assets

I can provide approved paddle racquet artwork (vector files) and existing logos for use in the designs.

Designers are welcome to propose their own racquet concepts if they feel they can improve on the provided artwork; however, accuracy and print reliability are important.

The focus of the project is layout, typography, and POD-safe composition rather than detailed illustration.

Deliverables

For each design

• SVG (vector file)
• High-resolution PNG (transparent background)
• Font names used
• Designs must be print-safe:
• No tiny details
• No thin lines
• No complex gradients
• No overly precise placement that could misalign on apparel

Style Direction

• Preppy, clean, understated
• Giftable rather than novelty
• Think club shop, not team uniform

Timeline

This is intended to be a short, efficient project.

Ideal delivery window is 5–7 days from kickoff.

Budget

Fixed price: $225 total for 8 designs.

This reflects the simplicity of the work and the expectation of efficient execution.

If the first batch goes well, there is potential for additional design sets.
