Trendy & Modern Graphic Designer for Custom Product & Laser Engraving Designs

I’m a small business owner looking for a talented graphic designer to create trendy, modern, and marketable designs for custom products. These designs will be used for laser engraving, printing, and product personalization across a variety of gift and lifestyle items.

I need someone who understands current design trends, clean layouts, and how designs translate onto real products—not just screens.

Designs will be used on items such as

Cutting boards (weddings, Realtor & closing gifts)

Barbecue box sets & wine box sets

Decanters, glassware & tumblers

Journals, wallets, luggage tags & passport holders

Custom gift sets for real estate & corporate gifting

Hat patches (acrylic, leather, engraved styles)

Design Styles Needed

You should be comfortable designing in multiple styles, including:

Modern / Elevated

Clean typography

Minimal layouts

Wedding & home gift aesthetics

Realtor & professional branding

High-end gift designs

Lifestyle / Trendy

Hunting & fishing themes

Cowgirl / country girl styles

Americana & patriotic designs

Western, rustic, and outdoors-inspired looks

Fun, bold, and wearable designs for hats

What I’m Looking For

Strong experience with vector-based design

Understanding of laser engraving & cutting limitations

Excellent typography skills

Ability to design for small surfaces and curved products

Someone who can take inspiration and turn it into original designs

Fast turnaround and clear communication

Ability to follow brand direction while adding creative input

Software & File Requirements

Adobe Illustrator preferred (or equivalent)

Final files must be provided as SVG, AI, or EPS

Designs must be laser-ready (clean paths, correct line weights, no unnecessary fills)

Project Scope

Ongoing work (long-term opportunity for the right designer)

Per-design or hourly pricing (open to discussion)

I’ll provide sizing, product details, and inspiration for each project

Bonus Skills (Not Required but a Plus)

Experience designing specifically for laser engraving workflows

Familiarity with LightBurn

Experience designing for Etsy or product-based brands

Understanding of current retail and social media design trends
